     Most Christians assume that the first celebration of Pentecost was nearly 2000 years ago.  But did you know that Pentecost has been celebrated for nearly 4000 years!
     Pentecost is one of the original biblical feasts of the Lord.  What happened on that very first Pentecost?  Why is there no fixed date for Pentecost in the Hebrew calendar—why does the date for Pentecost depend on the weekly Sabbath day 50 days beforehand?  And what is the significance of “counting fifty,” anyway?
